Going to respond to my own comment . . . A RAT! A RAT I say! Spent many hours trying to confirm with Intuit that in fact the Mac version of QuickBooks is being replaced by a cloud, monthly subscription debacle, a lå Adobe. Even spoke to a couple of alternate app publishers anxious to capitalize on Intuits faux pax. Then embedded deep in the hype within one of Intuit's pages is mention that Version 16 of the Mac desktop Quickbooks product WILL WORK ON SIERRA. I've built a Sierra testbed on a 2013 MacPro, booted, purchased and downloaded Quickbooks for Mac Desktop versions 16, installed it on Sierra and after updating itself during the install (one of the things it updated was Sierra compatibility). I can confirm it launches and utilizes at least it's built in test business. Next is to see if will work in the real world.
WHAT PISSES ME OFF is the waste of time and attempt to hype me into their monthly cloud version WITHOUT TELLING ME THAT Version 16 Mac Desktop version WILL WORK JUST FINE ON SIERRA - a really unprofessional, underhanded attempt to draw me into something that costs more and works less - all for Intuit's coffers. REALLY BAD FORM INTUIT - I hope others are able to see through your bullshit.
